Bella and Brie,

I've come to an age when i'm questioning the purpose of my life. Or better still; all life. Why it took me so long to understand this is a tragedy in itself, but for now let's just say i got so caught up in living, that i failed to determine what i was living for. I couldn't see the trees for the forest. Yes, i believe i've put that correctly because truth is encapsulated in a single living being. Tend to the individual, and the species will be just fine. So my cherubs, it is my hope that you can be wiser than your grandfather and discover the purpose of your life at a far earlier age. This song is meant to nudge you, ever so gently, toward your goal.
Now! Picture a grandpa and a grandchild walking on the beach. The child is asking his grandpa the "big questions". That thought should lead you along the road to begin to understand the idea inside this song. That's all the help you get. You'll have to find your own way from there.

This song was born on the winter solstice of 2014. The video completed on the winter solstice of 2016.

Lyrics

And So It Goes

Listen, walk with me beside the wise ol’ sea
She says, all there is to say
No sacred rites, no blessed mysteries
No silly rules hide your way

And so my child it’s very simple, I suppose
C’est la vie, say no more
Thank your lucky star
We’ve been hanging on so far
And so it goes, and so it goes

So now, how is it we ever came to be
How should we live, what if we die
Some say, we were born and raised by stars
But only once in all the sky

Tell me, how am I to know the right from wrong
Which destroys? and which creates?
Could life be as simple as a song
In my hands, shape my fate
