Dear Katherine,

Do you remember the night when we were talking about the names of the first full moon of each month of the year? And how the horror of the "Hunter's Moon" hit us? Well, the Initial lines were "white tail walks" coupled with "red plaid stalks"; and a path to a new song opened up.
There's a white/red theme, hunter/prey theme, double entendres of "game", and "pane". The story extends into a man with a briefcase being more dangerous than any man with a gun.

With paul magnano drums; dave phillips bass; alex watts lead guitar. Recorded in the spring of 1989. This version remixed on 2/26/16.

Lyrics

"Fragile Is the Deer In November"

Hunter’s moon in early autumn
Plan the ruin, fix the game
Fragile is the deer In november

White tail feeds in idyll splendor
Red plaid hunts in boots of leather
Fragile Is the deer In november

Innocence lost; i am

White child hides beneath the covers
Dreaming dreams yet undiscovered
Fragile is the deer In november

Red cheek pressed against the window
Fogs the pane, sees right through it
Fragile is the deer In november

White shirts hunt in corporate board rooms
Red ties bag their prey in courtrooms
Fragile is the deer In november

Finally we face the music
Sadly forgotten how to dance
Fragile is the deer in november
